Besides shooting the actual sporting "event", I often try to get other grabs as well.... just found this one...

Nice story to these two, although we never want to be on the losing side, from a photographers standpoint these capture the whole range of emotions we feel when it is down to the nitty gritty and only a miracle will save you.

I like that first shot. The cheerleaders are really into the game, but one really knows what's about to happen. She's obviously looking at the scoreboard/clock.

Thanks Mike (and the others with comments!) :-) She's the Cheerleading Captain.... her boyfriend (no surprise) is the Football Captain... and yeah, it was a big loss for this particular team... and a close game...

The 2nd one is outstanding. Reminds me of the Y.A. Tittle photo from about a million years ago where he is down on his knees and calves on thesidelines with blood running down the sides of his head.
