OK - as far as people photography goes, I think this is my best :D :D
Here's a run down on what has happened lately...

Since posting Christina's photos last, I had them printed. I had them with
me at work so she could swing by on the way home and get them.
Some coworkers saw. So of course now the whole store I work at knows.

1. I had a coworker ask if I would take pictures of her & her fiancée.
Pending this, she may see if I could do her wedding pictures. I STRONGLY
discouraged this but her reply was they are going for a low-key/cost wedding.
So as of now her mother is doing the pics with a P&S that, which Michelle
called "blurry at best." Would rather me do it then her mother.

2. Another coworker who raps on the side is producing another album.
I like his music ALOT and a local CD store across the street always sells
his CDs. He wants me to do the front and back covers and a photo booklet.

3. As previously said in the 'Business' forum, another coworker's
friend wants me to do her 1yr old's pictures in April/May time frame.

A HUGE thanks to everyone here for always commenting on my pics.
Plus for everyone else posting their own pics showing me ideas.
Annnnnnnnnyyywayyys here's a sneak preview of the pics from today.
I'll post more later on tonight. C&C, edits, etc. always welcomed ;) :D :D ;)]

Maybe its more like I'm stuck in a dream, or so it feels  ???
Here are a few more of 'the best' from today. Rest can be viewed HERE (external link)
Thanks, FuryMe :D C&C, edits, more tips n' tricks, etc. wanted on these too ;-)a

PS: The good thing is, on Monday we're going to Orlando to visit some of her friends
and check out the parks down there. Her friend Amber will be going with us and is into
photography herself. Hopefully I'll get another model AND more importantly learn more!

PPS: Also it looks like the stars have finally lined up to; I think my schedule will finally
match her AND her BF's. Can you say couple photos? Ahhhh I love photography & learning !!

Nice shots, color and composition works great for me, sharpness is spot on and you got her to express herself, always a huge plus! Enjoy doing the wedding! They're a lot of fun, a huge amount of work and incredible amounts of stress if you let it get to you, but don't worry about it, just make sure to go to rehearsal so you know what's going to happen and then let your intuition guide you on where to be. Just make a note that they don't necessarily go as planned.....that's what's so fun!

Thanks for sharing your good news and keep having a blast!

Thanks! To clarify, based on how the photos (if/when) I take of my coworker
Michelle and her fiancée Jake, she wants to *try* to talk Jake into having me do it.
I have yet to say yes. I want to do the album cover for my coworker/friend and my
coworker's friend's baby pictures before deciding on the wedding.

Its overwhelming honestly. Plus my friend put these photos on MySpace about
the same time I posted these. Since then she's had 3 TIMES the comments she
got on the last set in just a HOUR (others took up until now to get that reply!)
So many of the comments asked if a pro did them, she had to post a bulletin to
clarify who took the photos. I personally think my photos are 'OK' and just NOW
edging towards 'half-way good' - no where near a pro! I'm at a lost of how to respond
to all of the MySpace messages I've received. All over, IMHO, good but not THAT good of photos! ??? ???

Note: You can edit my photo just tell me how you did it ;)

There are always different levels of "Pro" and you're on your way. Just enjoy the opportunity to do different and creative works, give it your best and don't be afraid to make a little money as you learn.

Welcome aboard the learning train Jonathan!

Very nice photo! Looks great! I don't know her so I can only guess, but it truly appears that you caught her 'essence' which is something I want to always be able to do in photography. You can always dress someone up or down or make them what you want, but capturing an image of 'the person'... that's awesome! Good Job!

I think theyre great man.. very sharp and awesome expressions and compositions... Just take it all in breathe and go out and do it.. A great man said.. fake it till you make it.. :) sounds bad but hey.. no reason to be saying "I can't do it" just assume you can and you just might do a much better job than you though you would, and if anything you will have learned several valuable lessons that you would have never learned if you didnt do it. (whatever and everything that you have in front of you)

god luck man and keep up the good work

By definition a PRO is someone who makes their living taking/selling photographs.
Your images are of a professional standard and that is what most people think makes you a pro, as you are well aware many amateurs can take professional looking pictures.
As long as the people you are taking the pictures for are happy then you have done a good job.

Just my 2cents

Steve.

That's a lovely shot of a nice looking girl... Everything is spot on, so that's why people are asking you to do work for them. If you're looking to expand your knowledge base, these all sound like great opportunities... I say go for it. As someone else has said, your work looks professional, so people assume you are capable of the jobs they've offered you. Based on what I've seen, I think you are too! Thanks for sharing

The new picture of Christina, is absolutely beautiful. This is a picture that defines growth, and you have grown immensely. Well done! A beautiful girl like that deserves a friend like you and pictures as beautiful as this last one you have done.

Thanks for the kind words of advise & comments all!
I just went to Wal-mart to pay their high prices for the 'Prints on Demand'
thing they have. Spent bout $8 to get a couple 4x6 proofs and a 8x10.
The 8x10 came out amazingly good! I plan to order 2 sets of all the new
pictures sometime today (from Mpix.com probably) for her & her mom.

The cool thing about this is - I can use her photos for anything I want to, including
showing coworkers who ask to see samples, and I'm not paying a dime for any of the prints!!
I cannot wait to get some couple pictures of her & her boyfriend !
