the bulb on my DLP TV blew on me just now. ordered from a vendor i found on the net that had very good rating at resellerrating.com and they were only $15 more then the cheapest price i could find from vendors that had horrible or no rating.

makes me mad cuz i wanted to watch "peirrepoint- the last hangman" tonight but cant now as i wont watch it on the smaller bedroom TV haha.

oh well i knew it would happen someday. only bad thing is it gives me a REALLY REALLY bad itch to go out and pick up a new 52" LCD flat panel with 1080P lol.

thats gotta wait a bit though until i really get tired of this TV or find a killer deal on a flat panel lol. (think a 50" tv would be to big for a bed room thats 12x14 and just placing it on top of a 4' tall 6' wide dresser? LOL)

as to your last phrase there, it actually seems that it's perfect size for a 50".

I had to order a bulb for my Mitsu DLP set. I ordered directly from Mitsubishi figuring that would be safest. When it arrived, the packaging looked like it had been opened already. Red flag. I installed it, and it didn't work. Redder flag. I had to ship it back and wait for them to send another one. The second one was okay, but it was frustrating.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

yea, i ordered the bulb from www.electrified.com (external link) they had a 9.26 rating with over 500 feedbacks on resellerratings.com

afterwards a buddy said i should call toshiba as his blew around 1.5 yrs but toshiba replaced it for free as they extended the bulb warranty to 2 yrs

I used to have a 61" jvc HDILA projection tv. This was only 2 years ago when dlp and ila were new techs. The bulb would blow in it every 4 months or so. The warrenty covered it for a year but after that I had to fork out the $425 every time. So the last time it blew I replaced the bulb, sold the tv for 4k and bought a 52" toshiba 1080p lcd and a 50" 1080p toshiba plasma. The 52 is in my living room and the 50 is in the bedroom. If we get this stimulus from the gov like we are susposed to I am thinking of adding some to it and getting a 60" plasma for the living room and moving the 52 to my room and the 50 to the den
