a crash during qualification, just at the right place at the right time

I used to race Karts -looks like a Rotax class - I know that had to hurt - great sequence though

Nice captures. Was anyone hurt? I used to kart and fortunately never had a bad spill like this. Did lose a wheel once though.

the guy was pretty shaken but not badly hurt
when the ambulance came to check him up he walked to it by himself
he was able to do the race but started in last place, I dont know what was his position when the race finished
a true road warrior ;)

that's good to hear. these things can do some real damage to our frail bodies. i've seen some nasty stuff but it's all a part of racing.

yep rotax junior (no power valve)

straw bails are a pretty stupid idea on a tight track all they'll do is bounce you back into every one elts (Speaking from experience)
did well not to roll it as for getting back in well you wouldnt be a karter if you didnt ;)

getting back into it next season after a couple of years off have a nice 500cc set up ready to drive should be fun

great capture of a very quick moment

as for the track design, it was either that or the sidewalks, it was in a section of streets near downtown in my city
this race happen once a year, a week or so before the local Grand Prix... ;)
