World's longest transit bridge. I see this right out my window. Vantage point is about 200m from my front door. I haven't shot in a while and was a little rusty.

The pano I am certainly not happy with the colour. I blew the highlights a but and have tried it a couple times to reel it in. Enjoy for the look.

This one I waited a couple times for the right train to go by. The newer trains have far better lights on them and it was DAMN cold. Maybe about 4 celsius. but holding on to cold aluminum and magnesium is silly at 4c.

I like them both Jason, but especially the second shot. You are fortunate to have such a great view from your window.

Don't like that tree poking in from the right in #1, but #2 is awesome. I know what you mean about the cold. I did a little shooting today. It was about 20 degrees farenheit. My aluminum tripod legs were COLD!

Thanks! The first one is borderline garbage, it's a freebie. But #2 is a keeper for me.

Great stuff, particularly no.2, reminds me of a bridge we have in Winnipeg, but much longer...

I'm intrigued Jason - do the Canadians (and Americans, for that matter) use the word 'transit' to mean exclusively trains? We tend to use the word to mean anything that goes from A to B (for instance, 'goods in transit' and, as a verb, to go from one place to another, regardless of means. Over here, we would call that bridge a rail bridge. Just curious!

Great pictures, by the way.

Transit implies that the only goods transported on the rail is human. They may have rails, but not any comforming rail standard for proper intercontinental rail cars. Of course rails between there (UK) and here (Canada) are different, but these are basically just proprietary (Bombardier) above ground subway rails.
