A570 LCD has purple shadow

I was just wondering if this was normal. I searched on google but couldn't find anything.

When my camera is pointed in the direction where light is emitting, I get a purple shadow of where the light is traveling on the camera LCD. For example, this can be from a window or a desk lamp. I'm not pointing directly at the source, it can be anywhere in the frame of the LCD. The pictures itself turn out perfectly fine though when I download them to my computer. Should I be worried?

No - it's called "blooming"; it may be a problem when you do video, but as you've noticed it doesn't show up on stills.
