USB to USB Transfer?

I'm looking for a solution to my storage issue. I take more pictures than I have memory cards right now but I don't have a laptop to back up the images. I was at Best Buy yesterday and I saw this USB to USB transfer device. It lets you transfer files between two USB devices without a PC. The guy at the store couldn't tell me anything about it. I was wondering if anyone on here had ever used it or have another solution for me. It's just that I am on a tight budget right now and I can't afford a laptop. This is the link to the item listed below.

Thanks

it claims to do what you want it to. If you try it out, let us know how it goes.

For $99, that seems a bit steep for just transferring USB to USB. With this device, you will still need an external harddrive to transfer your photos to. I think what is does is just bridge the gap between the two, so you don't have to use a computer.

Personally, if you were to spend $99, I'd get a PSD... they are a self contained unit with a harddrive and it will copy off files from various memory cards. B&H has quite a few there, and some that are less than $99.

I bought one the day a went off to Europe for a month, but it only saw action in London because the computer there had no USB...as for the rest of the time, they were nice enough to have a Mac or at least two USB ports for my Hard Drive and camera.

I only use it for emergencies and for iPod recharging.

This (external link) is what I have used for a couple of years. I am very happy with it. You cannot view photos, but that does not concern me.
