first try model

This is from my first try with my new 40D for manual mode and strobe lights, I know the top of her hair needs more light, I ordered the wrong softbox so it wasn't "lit" up. Note this file is unedited and was simply converted from raw to jpg for this forums comments.

I really like #1. Good exposure and color. I just don't like the way she is centered in the frame. Here is my take on the crop.

Nice Crop queenbee - my thoughts exactly

As far as the softbox, it isn't that the softbox was not lit up - but you need an additional "hairlight" from above and slightly behind her. this will provide the necessary light on her hair and give some separation from the background

Definitely looks better with the crop. Great shots
