Errr! what about Lincolns Inn (Inns of Court)? Having said that I cannot find any proof images!

Edit: I was trying to ID the scultpures etc and have now found the the "lamb with flag" and "pegasus" do have a connection with the Inns of Court???

You are close, but this is not Lincoln's Inn.

More research is due... ;)

I seem to recall that the original was moved back to its original site a few years ago. In any case, the area is still called that.

Yes, technically you're right, it was re-placed at St Pauls in 2004. But it left it's original spot in 1878.

The Griffin statue here ( http://www.the-aperture.com/EE/photos/normal/_MG_0318.jpg (external link) ) is at the place where Temple Bar used to be until 1878.

Inner temple?

Ding Ding....

We have a winner. Well done. Yeah, that was a hard one, I admit (simply because this entrance way doesn't seem to crop up under searching in google images (which I find odd). Me posting a shot of the church would have made it way too easy.

When I said 'Temple (Bar)', I actually meant the place on the Embankment (where Temple tube station is) - is in that area or on The Strand?

Oh... Near the Walkabout bar?

Clearing up the clues I left (for the interested and Americans ;) ) :-

The film/book in question was "The DaVinci Code"

It's an fairly closed off area (narrow entrances) which is mainly used as offices for Barristers (the area is just across Fleet Street from the Royal Courts of Justice. In the centre of this complex lies Inner Temple Church, famous for the Knights of Templar and made infamous by Dan Brown.

Exact location (middle temple lane) - http://maps.google.com ….001549,0.004211&t=h&z=19 (external link)

How did you get the location, by the way? Do you know where it is from experience?
