Will have to wait on JMF confirming but that memorial seems a beautiful fitting tribute to the victims of such an insane xenophobic act of violence

News story about the memorial here http://www.cbc.ca …-anniversary.html?ref=rss (external link)

Edit This stands outside Atocha Station

Sorry for the long wait...just finished my beauty sleep. But, yes indeed, this is the Atocha memorial in Madrid.
It's made up of 15,000 glass bricks and the inside hold a cilinder with thousands of condolence messages received
after the attacks.
Most pics are taken from the other side which gives a view of old (or new, depending on the angle) Atocha stations
in the background, but that would've been a dead giveaway.
Just me being curious: how did you find it so quickly?
J

Good morning J

Well seeing you are in Belgium and incidently welcome to WAIN :D I thought well what about Belgium as there was a Renault car in shot so Googled Belgium glass memorial and I think there was a 'view' on the second page that picked up the "glass memorial" bit.

So as I like details WAIN, I hope this is distinctive enough but may be an absolute stinker did some PPing to enhance and "show" ;)the details as this is not how they are "normally" seen ~ a clue so early on maybe???

Let's see if the Flickr user labeled their image correctly:

Is this a relief at Pisa's Duomo?
