I went and done a friend's band for them. 10D, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, av, mostly iso 1600 tried a few at 800. First time doing a band mostly do cars.

Not bad. I like #1, 2 and 6 (maybe straighten a bit, if you don't loose too much space above the guitar neck (which I wouldn't crop)).
5 is nice for a change.
On #4 the mic is in the way.
#3 doesn't say 'performing' to me.
Same goes for #7, and also it's a not so nice expression and a bit soft.

René thanks for the input, I read as many posts as I could here including yours before I went they were very informative.
Like I said I mostly shot cars but I found doing the band was really allot of fun.

I like the over all feel of you photos.

1,2,and 5 are my favorite photos. To me photos 3 and 7 look like it is just some random person from the audience.
