Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this forum and post rarely. But lately ive been shooting alot of the local scene in hopes of improving, and these are my latest results.

Ive been experimenting with several techniques to give my photos a very unique feel, and although i think these may be a tad to far, i was hoping for some CC.

Setup was a 10d, Sigma 15-30 ultrawide, and a 430ex. In a terribly lit moose lodge.

Ah = / and forgive the bryanK photography at the bottom.

your use of highlighting kind of bothers me, but they're good anyways.
Watch out next time for all of the cameras and people around you.
I do a lot of indoor hardcore shows and i applaud you cause i know how hard it is to get a good picture when you're being pushed around.

Like i said, just make the highlights more realistic and i think you'll be fine.
:)

Really nice man.

Where'd you shoot those? I live in a NJ, pretty darn close to 609 zip codes.

Thanks to everyone who responded!

These are from the lacey moose lodge down in south jersey, and the show was Float Face Down's last show.

and pregnantcowlady(lol)- I understand what your saying about the highlighting, and I do agree, but these examples were just to see what others thought of the technique = )

I like the first ... held high and shot down or up on a monopod? I think the PP makes otherwise too common images have a look and feel like a cheap movie, which adds some texture and style. The big failing is that I can't see a single female anywhere and even though I am in California I still find that significantly appealing.

I like #1 and 2. #$ is nice as well. Don't like the PP however.
Vignette is too harsh (restricted to the sides) and there's a greenish cast I don't like. YMMV

I like the shots, caught the action AND the processing is fitting, what exactly did you do in processing?

the effect is a cross between vast over-saturation, extreme contrast, and a mix of green and blue channel adjustments
