It is a spectacular part of the country and the garrigue (scrub land) is a lovely place to walk. We were in our village walking groupe and spent a lot of time in the various parts. This is the village from the garrigue looking south east

I was never interested in history until we went there, but I now know a lot more about the Cathars than I used to. Oh yes, and Simon de Montford and the only ever European crusade. He was a nasty piece of work!
One of the nice things about the Languadoc is that it is the largest vine yard in the world. 1600 plus producers! I tried my best but in the 13 years there I still didn't manage to try them all
