That's gorgeous. I should have gone there at night to shoot...have plenty of daylight shots, though.

Hi Dave,

That is a cool looking "Under Bridge"!!

Thanks, I always find it handy to carry a small powerful torch with me when shooting at night, you just never know when a lil' light painting sparks the mood.

Thank you, Melbourne is a gorgeous town...err city, at anytime. Actually, I like it's big country town feel.

When you say torch I am thinking something like I would call a flashlight, is that correct?

Were you in a boat on the water under the bridge?

If so I am wondering how you kept the lens open long enough to paint with your torch and not get any blurring with the rocking/movement of the boat in the water?

Thank you for a wonderful image you created of the underside of the bridge!!

Hey Charles, thanks for the question. If you look at the image "itsallart" posted just above, the image is of the same bridge only side on, and if you look at the right hand side of the pic you will see a walkway under the bridge, that's where I stood.

Yes flashlight...Fenix PD35 to be exact, I believe exposures were ISO200, 25 seconds at f16, to get some depth of field.
It was quite dark under there with a bit of lighting from the walkway, I still had plenty of time to wave a flashlight around like a crazy man (it was all in the name of art)

I hope that helps

Oh YES! That does help a lot!!!

I did not realize that "itsallart's" photo was the same bridge when I saw it earlier!

Thank you very much Dave!!

Great shot. Is it not the Connel bridge?

Bought a second hand Olympus EM5-ii and kit 14-42 lens as a backup to my Olympus EM1-X and Pro lens. Was giving it a go yesterday.

Strathconnon in the Scottish Highlands.
