Very nice Belmondo. I wish I could get my train shots that crisp. They run right past my place and I get out there every now and again but no cigar. They're close but not like what you get.

I actually chased the train so I could get more shots of it.

It's a wallhanger & well worth the exercise!

My favorite is the third, but they're all very nice shots Tom, Friend of Dick and Harry.

You did a fine series of shots here, my personal favorite is the 3rd shot. It's bright and got good colors.

I'm downright scared of UP. Why? I'm a CP guy. It's a very strategic merge there...I doubt it'll happen soon, but I'm worried about my reds as well!
The second one is my favorite, I'm a sucker for signal bridges. Pity it wasn't lit!
First one, I'm wondering if you could have shown a little more on the right? S curves are all the rage when you show a lot of the train ;)

Nice shots. Is that the wind farm in the Palm Springs area? We drove past there back in November. Any idea how many turbines there are in that stretch of 15 miles or so? Largest wind farm I've ever seen.

That's the one. Sorry, but I have no idea how many are there. There is a windmill tour I've been threatening to take. I'm sure they'd have all that information, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Thanks, Marie. You definitely feel the ground shake when these things pass by.

Very few people mentioned the hair. I suspect there were fears that I might actually look like that, and they didn't want to offend me.

I can imagine it Tom
must be a powerful sensation

It can be a bit of a worry when things like it seem like they are taken serious

but I think all know by now what you are like

although thinking about it your real head of hair is not shown much either (in the avatar) and remember in the original pictures of potn members (way back) ......... someone made you different in a photo
one with hair.. one without

.... however, no worries
you were and are accepted (whatever and forever)

:)

Very nice clear sharp photos. BTW. That is all I ever see anymore is nothing more than UP. The Closest BNSF line near me is the Sioux City branch just 20 Miles to my West. If I really want alot of BNSF Trains. I have to travel almost 50 Miles just see some BNSF. I wish that I lived right next to the BNSF. But,I have to live with the UP for now.

It's pretty much the same here. We have BNSF about 70 miles to the west in San Bernardino. Unless I feel like driving that far, I'm pretty much stuck with UP.
