Although the body is plastic (as if I didn't know) the fit and finish is good and it feels quite solid. Too bad the optical viewfinder is so small and does not have any viewfinder readout, such as AF and f/stop and shutter speed indications, all of which I think is very important.

I really didn't want to bring my SLR and the A590 was on sale at the time for $139 shipped. I was very pleased with the way the camera handled some difficult situations.
