Hi all,

I recently noticed that all the RAW files from my 1D MK2, especially outdoor has a strange purple tint to it.

I include some pics here. I shot sRGB and it doesn't show up on JPG, only on RAW. I tried both CS RAW and Capture 1 and see the same thing.

However, viewing the raw file by faststone image viewer, I don't see it.

Is it the sign of the sensor is going out???

I'd say: change the tint in PP.

I tried but it doesn't look good at all.

I wonder what could have caused this.

Probably the faststone image viewer shows the built in jpg.
If you shoot Raw + jpg, the jpg is okay? (Viewed in what software?)
If so, then the sensor is okay as well.

Did you change anything recently on your PC? Any chance of software or a profile getting corrupted?

It's on my laptop and the most recent installation was Spyder2Pro and I created a profile for it.

I think the color setting or profile in PS CS2 is messed up.

The pictures look fine in DPP and when I exported it and opened in PSCS2, it appeared purple. It also look purple in Bridge too.

I checked the Color Setting under Edit Menu and it set to North America General Purpose 2. Is that how it supposed to be set?

If I changed it to Monitor Profile and picked the Profile created by Spyder2 then it looked good.

However, ACR still show purple.

Is there a way to reset PS CS2?

I uninstalled Capture 1 and will reinstall it see if I can get the profile correctly as it was using 1D MK II generic.icm.

Anyone has any ideas?
