I don't know if anyone heard, but it snowed in Baghdad for the first time in over 30 years.
The resulting rain then snow, then even more rain, left us with a healthy amount mud.

I never thought I would get to practice my panning in such a way during my deployment.
It was a welcome change. Here are a few photos from the day that it snowed.

I can smell the burning trash in the background. Some pretty cool shots. Could you post one of them in color?

HAHAHA, you got me man. That is right over by that big ass garbage dump. Were you at the VBC? Or are you just generalizing Iraq as a dump?

Here it is in color, I was shooting in Overcast WB. Thankfully I keep my originals.

And over at the dump. Different time of year. I had to drive up to the top, hold my breath, get out of the truck, and take my burst shots before I ran out of air. The smell is horrendous.

Yeah I have seen those videos as well. He is a buddy of mine, Jeep guy from Montana. He got to play in the mud, and I got to practice my drifting photography, win win for everybody.

Looks like fun, except your boots remind me of red clay in Georgia.

If #3 was a little more in focus it would be my pick. The lean on the truck is awesome and the driver is in the moment. #4 is the money shot, a good crop imho.
