I have a rebel xt, and a opteka grip. I really like the grip, in particular because it hold the hand/wrist stap. (and the double battery)

I noticed the last few days that my camera has been acting funny, locking up, and powering off for no reason. I just got a flash and figured that might be the reason, I was gonna post those issues, but I wanted to narrow down the cause alittle, and see if I could repeat the problems.

I was shooting today and discovered it only happend in vertical orientation. So I figured something must be loose. Yep, I pushed on the battery compartment on the grip, and the power came back on.

So, when I turn the camera so that the batteries are pointing down (in the grip) the camera dies. Anyone else have this issue, any solutions?

Thanks in advance (also, please, no "Buy canon posts" I get it, pay more, get better, blah, blah) I have had this grip for over a year, with some moderately heavy use.
