It's only a matter of time before this camera is announced and people start complaining about how it doesn't live up to their expectations (which seem to be at amazingly high levels based on most posts); what it doesn't have or doesn't do, yada yada.

I thought this would be a good spot to consolidate everyone's comments. ;)

hahaha ;)

It hasn't even been released and you created a complaint thread for it?!

LOL

should be interesting, but wouldn't it be in the rumour section for the moment? ;)

Good thinking Rich, you know its coming, always good to plan ahead.

Now the real questions is, how many of those crybabies will be experienced gear heads and how many wll be the less experienced gear heads? I already know who will complain, buts its no use namedropping:p

Really? What do you know that we don't? Everyone yesterday was saying that was it for this year, 450D and some P+S's. If you know different please say...

I think I'm going to pick up an EOS film camera and use that until a full-frame comes out that wasn't priced by someone on drugs. All I want is full-frame, couldn't care less about other features, 14-bit RAW isn't that much better than 12-bit, I don't need 8 frames a second.

Very well put, my opinion also. I want a full frame that is affordable.

well i hear that the upgrades arent that big. lets take a look at the facts we DO know about it so far...

It WONT do your laundry.
it WONT help with the dishes.
it DOESNT do windows.
it Wont get you drunk, high or otherwise make you forget about your pitiful life for awhile.
it will NOT call 911 in an emergency..

Honestly, anyone who runs out and buys this is just a sucker in my book!

I think the improvement in the LCD is not quite as sharp as I'd like it. Can't we do a swing out 7 inch monitor on the back to really see the details? :)

Doesn't have an iPod built in so you can't listen to music while you are shooting. Garbage!

It just goes to show that the 5D classic was awesome and so ahead of its time :)

You can buy a 1Ds Mk.I or a used 5D for a very reasonable price these days.

I fail to see a problem. I have a high school diploma, raised on welfare and I have 2 full frame cameras. I'm not rich or anything.

people will always try to stop you doing the right thing if it is unconventional
Full frame and some primes.

Hmmm, I can see it now.
1. Soft images when handheld at 1/2 second with my telephoto lens at ISO 100 in a dark room.

2. Noisy images when shot 4 stops underexposed and when my PS auto corrects the exposure.

3. Back/front focus issue when I select all point on the AF and the camera can't read my mind and focuses on something else than the intended subject.

4. I bought this expensive camera and it won't compose good lighting/colors/subject for me.

5. Live view is too hard to view with a big lens I just bought when I handhold it by extending my arms straight out like I did with my point and shoot.

6. Pop up flash is broken and won't pop up.

7. There is this fuzzy thing that shows up when I shoot white walls at f22.

8. My EF-S 18-55 kit lens won't work on this thing now.

9. I bought an IS lens, why won't my pictures look good?

10. I can't find my 'running man' or 'mountain' modes. This camera sucks.

11. There is no weather sealing, despite the fact that I run for cover the moment clouds appear.

12. The silver hot shoe doesn't match the rest of the camera.

13. They didn't provide a hot shoe cover.

14. It doesn't have an integrated grip so it sucks. / It does have an integrated grip so it sucks. / The cheapo third party grip makes the camera suck.

15. 1200 shots is just too little battery life for me because it takes me 2400 shots to get one decent keeper. If at all. Whine whine whine.

16. The frame counter says 999 when I put a 64GB CF card into it. Because I need that much to get a decent keeper. Whine whine whine.

17. The buffer sucks because I shoot RAW. In drive mode. When pointing at a static subject. Because everybody knows that you can't even hope to get a useable shot if you use JPEG. JPEG is for weenies.

18. It doesn't have 10fps, so I can't shoot static subjects properly because I shoot RAW, drive mode, and spray and pray to get my keeper.

19. My 350D's infrared remote is USELESS NOW!!!!!!

20. It's too heavy. I can't do emo self portraits by holding out my camera at arm's length.

:p :p :p
