Moppies take on the A1GP, Taupo 2008 (8 photos)

Thanks very much to NZshrimper I was able to spend the weekend in Taupo shooting the A1GP.

The whole event is a very well put together show, and its as much about the entertainment as it is about the racing.


Lots of colour and excitement in the pits during qualifying:

All the teams crew members had their cameras out when ever they could:

Flat spot! What flat spot? That flat spot! ............. it wasn't me.......

And some nice, safe, slightly boring racing shots.

And the ausies again, doing about 280kph past the old club circuits pit wall, which means he was only about 10 feet away.

I like the last of the mobile ones better - great composition.

Cheers, I spent an hour sitting on that wall trying to make something work, I was hoping for something a little more extreme, but glad I got something out of it.
