OK last night I was dreaming about opening my camera and doing some sort of work on the inside of it . while I was doing it somehow I got a horrible shock from it like being electricuted. It was so real I made my body shake awake.

Anyone else have their hobbies invade their dreams? (aside from the which lens to buy next type dreams)

You must have been shocked by a camera before to know that you might get a horrible shock...

Back in the days of film point and shoots, my Mom broke her P&S and my Dad thought he could fix it. They took the batteries out and left it for a day...

He came home from work at 3am and started trying to work on it while the rest of us were asleep - we all woke up to "YEEE OWWWW!!"

I dreamt I was photographing my bonsai trees. (Double whammy)

I reached for a lens and tried to read the focal length on the lens. Reading in dreams is always a dicey affair for me. The letters and numbers are always swirling around and usually don't make sense. For example: In my dream, I reached into my kit bag and pulled out my 13-124mm lens (!!!!). It even had a red ring. I woke up and cursed. I'm sure it was an f/2.8 too.

I've been having dreams about being the second shooter at weddings lately. I don't remember any other details other than that. Probably been dreaming about it as I agreed to start being the second shooter for our wedding photographer.

I had the strangest dream last night that we were getting rid of one of the cats because she was too old.

Funny story

I once had a point and shoot when I was new to digital. I dropped the camera, and decided I'd try and fix the jammed lens.
Opened it up, and touched some metal contact by the capacitor. One of the biggest shocks I've ever had. Really didn't expect it. At that point I went out and bought a 20D, and was the start of where I got to today. :D

As for dreaming and stuff - I dream all the time I'm on a beach for sports illustrated, doing swimwear calendars.

I've had a lot of dreams where I'm out shooting and put my bag down for a bit. When I come back to get my gear it is invariably under water. I've had dreams where the tide has come in inside a building on a mountain
