to macro or not to macro

see how im leaning my right elbow on my right leg..using it as a tripod..below that is shot i got using this method

If it is something on the floor, I knell down and put my elbows on the ground either side. I use a small gardening matt to save my clothes and protect myself from sharp and stinging things on the ground.

yer..theres many ways.just depends what angles u want.any thing but dont use them dam tripods..there a pain in the butt for macro..by the time u have positioned it the bug will be gone

Ah a garden mat! I was thinking of getting new garden knee pads. If I'm standing it's easy to handhold, elbows against me take a breath exhale and hold it. I'll guess I'll just have to figure out how to do this while on my belly.

This fall I planted lots of bulbs, I know you guys like your bugs but you're gonna have to look at lots of flowers from me! I'll try to get some bugs too. I wish I brought my camera to work (my macro comes today!) the ladybugs are starting to infest the building, I love this time of year, they're all over the place!

i can imagine it now..walking in field on summers day with knee pads on..i get strange enough looks as it is walking with my macro set up..any thing Else for them to look at wil make them faint
