Help me decide!!??

The company I work for (a big school photography company) is having an Exhibition Compeition the category that I am entering is :Other Portraits and the guidelines are:
Indoor or outdoor photography
Any composition
Any portrait excluding high school senior portraits
Includes; Pets, children and family portraits

I can't decide which one I want to enter!! So I'm turning to you guys to help me decide!!

I've narrowed it down to these 8:

The other categories are, Candid Photography taken for yearbook services, and Creative Digital Portraits (aka heavy photoshoping, they want the before and afters)

I'm thinking I'm going to go with number 1, but I'm going to have 1 and 4 printed out and ask my boss for his thoughts too!

1, 4, 6, 7 - 1, 6....I suppose 1. Emotion is good in 4, but lighting is off. 1 has lighting and diagonals.
