Abandoned Mississippi Central Railroad Depot Holly Springs, MS. Built in 1856 and partially destroyed by fire during the Civil War (Van Dorn raid) the front was rebuilt in 1865. In 1886 it was remodeled to include 20 bedrooms and a 125 seat dining area

Just cant help but to wonder what lead to it being in the state it is now. Sad but exciting to explore!!

I have often wondered the same thing about many of these places. Some were obviously the super wealthy super nice places. At what point does it just get abandoned and left to rot like that? and why?
