New here but I had to get in on this thread. I absolutely love this stuff. Maybe there'll be many more (better) shots when I finally open my new camera (only 10 days to go)
Some old church in Ireland we visited on our round Ireland motorbike trip in '11.

Nice shots of the church chimps.
It look as if you copped for usual Irish weather,:). When I lived there we knew it was summer because the rain was warmer.

So far, this is the oldest I've ever been

Haha, actually we did ok for weather which was a surprise because it was early Sept. However, when it did rain a couple of times we thought we were going to get washed away. Camping in Ireland does come with some risk

These were taken with my old Canon ixus500. I wish I knew more back then and didn't have the sky so washed out. Maybe would have been nice to get these in HDR to capture the moody skys too

Hello chimps. Just curious, why do you have to wait 10 days before using the 60D? I love mine!

Haha! Maybe I should have explained. I bought it for myself as a birthday present (2nd Dec) and to celebrate starting my new job (3rd Dec) so I promised that I wouldn't open it until then. Obviously I wanted to make sure the battery was charged and everything was there and working so I got it out, checked it, charged it and then boxed it up again. It's like torture I tell you. It's just sitting there all brand new and sexy waiting to be played with. ArghhH!

A couple from wandering around my neighbourhood today. Man I can't wait til I can crack open the 60D. My Lumix is really struggling in this low light. Trying to hand hold at shutter 1/6s is not easy.

This isn't technically a building but it's an abandoned public space around the corner from my House in Hillsborough, Sheffield, UK.

Another couple from the same trip out. There's a lot of terraced houses around here and this one appears to have literally fallen off the end.

My thoughts exactly. I used to live in Medina County, OH, BTW. Layfayette Township, before moving to AZ some 30 yrs ago.

beautiful place

It really is, not sure why someone doesn't do something with it. I think it is used for storage of junk mostly. It isn't near the main part of town and the whole town is a bit different anyway. Still sad to see it sit.
