Was a real 'doer upper':-)
backn4th

It sure was.
Original part was pit sawn wall studs and floor boards.
Split boards lining the inside.
Split rafters, shingles still under the newer iron roof.
Top wall plates dovetailed at joins. All held together with dovetails and big round wooden dowels.
Old newspaper stuck to wall, 1870,
Still had some original panel doors.

The bathroom was a lot later addition along with a very disgusting kitchen.
That part was removed.

Haha. Only after we'd built a new one in the main (oldest) part of house.
Then bathroom above and kitchen came down.

A forgotten home known to the locals but unknown to the rest of us. Taken earlier this year (east Texas; 2019):

I found this a couple of years ago, just outside Lassen Volcanic Park in California. I just love the way the boards bent but didn't break.

All I want is a 10-2000 f/0.5L with no distortion that weighs 100 grams, fits in my pocket, and costs $300. Is that too much to ask?

I love the sign. Makes me want to go in to see if it's true.

You'd probably wouldn't even make it up the stairs.
