After asking around, I had forgotten that the area of this last vestige was cleared to make room for the new train station of which has been put on hold due to a lack of State funding...

They had quite an auditorium.

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Church from 1779, which after the expulsion of the Germans after World War II and emptying the village dilapidated until 1999, when the church tower fell and collapsed the roof of the nave.

Lester cna you tell us where your photos are please?

That's a lovely shot and may well be Dartmoor?

My ambition for a good while is to grow old disgracefully. So far my wife tells me that I am doing really well!

Llanddwyn Island, Anglesey.

That is a little ruined chapel, the cross is more modern, there are a few cottages and a a couple of lighthouses.

Again, from a former state-operated psychiatric hospital:

Cleanup didn't get very far along in the cafeteria

IMAGE: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/922/euxwMP.jpg

Down on the ground floor, it wasn't much better

IMAGE: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/924/qj3ROA.jpg

But what is this room?

IMAGE: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/924/b4QSxE.jpg

Is it just a drug den?

IMAGE: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/922/JErXvE.jpg

Oh, I understand now

IMAGE: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/924/YeQztr.jpg

But ORs and other medical spaces resided within

IMAGE: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/922/A1rOYH.jpg

Even dental facilities

IMAGE: https://imagizer.imageshack.com/v2/xq90/922/QFnuw0.jpg

And even a courtroom

Of the 20 buildings which used to make up this campus, most of it is now
recently razed in ongoing efforts of redevelopment. Quite a shame, really,
as a 450-acre site has been largely cleared of old-forest growth.

I used to live right behind that, assuming this is the old Northville Psychiatric facility. Very interesting place, always love seeing photos from folks urban exploration of it.

Northville? I never made it out there. Spent all my time in Detroit.

East side Detroit, 1/2008.

A couple of different buildings/walls from a short stretch of farm land caught between the city and a satelite town. Sign in the first one reads (paraphrased) 'Danger. Keep Out. There isn't any scrap iron anyway.'

Leica M4, 50mm and Portra 400.
