Have had this since the start of the year, but just getting around to putting it up. We don't normally see many of these around in the winter, too cold and snowy and not a lot for them to eat. :(

I don't think that I can claim this as the first one of the spring but rather last one of the fall!! :):) Guess he just forgot to go south this year.

John, great shot. I grew up believing that Robins all went south for the winter. without exception. Now I am finding they don't. Last winter I was out with my camera on a trail in our wetlands, and had a pair of Robins following me off in the brush the whole time. I have since seen many of them around during the winter. I also use to think they ate just worms and bugs, but they are also big fruit eaters, loving cherries and wild grapes. :)
