Another good morning, this bird is definately layed back having her pic taken, does`nt seem to mind the flash either, too busy looking for food.
All from about 30 feet ...............560mm,I​SO 800, f7.1, 1/80 th, -2/3 exp, flash @ -1 2/3.

These may very well be your best and that's saying a lot. You've taken the best shots I've seen of this species. Top shelf all the way! Congrats.

Carlton, this pet bird of yours is giving you some great poses. This is no doubt the best I've seen of this pretty bird. You could sell space at your blind any day.....You rock! steve

Great shots!

I can't get within 100 yards of the belted kingfisher around here before he see me and takes off. Very lucky indeed and such a beautiful bird!

Hi, nice photographs. Were they taken in your local area? From your details it looks like I don't live too far from you and as I am pretty new to the area (and pretty new to photography too - this is only my 2nd post on this forum) I would appreciate some tips on good locations in the Staffordshire/Shropshi​re/Cheshire area to take potorgraphs. Can you help?

wow- you always get such awesome kingfisher shots- this is like my main goal for a photo

I know I'll rent a lens and head down and follow you around for a day ;)

Seriously though- amazing shots; was that the 400 2.8 with a 1.4x or 2x?
