I just found a Sony HVLF1000 flash in the storage and was wondering if it'll work on my 20D with an adapter or something. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

But it still may be useable if it is a traditional automatic flash. "If you're not having fun, your pictures will reflect that." - Joe McNally

Thanks Curtis. I took a few shots of the flash. It says TTL flash metering on Amazon.

It is a TTL flash made for Sony cameras. "If you're not having fun, your pictures will reflect that." - Joe McNally

Thanks for the help Curtis. What will I need to get in order to get this flash to work on my 20D? I want to give it a shot. 20D • 24 2.8 • 85 1.8

It's not worth the trouble. Both the flash and the camera are made to work with their own proprietary technology. That flash requires communication from the camera to work properly, and the 20D doesn't speak its language. "If you're not having fun, your pictures will reflect that." - Joe McNally

Thank you again for your input on this. I'm not in need of a flash, I just wanted to play with it since it didn't cost me anything . It's a bummer that it won't work with my camera though. 20D • 24 2.8 • 85 1.8
