hello fellow POTN'ers

i placed an order last week under the impression that i was buying the same impact light stand that came with my lighting kit i bought from them.

it turns out, that i bought a 6ft stand instead of the 8ft air cushioned one that matches the rest of my light stands.

granted, it is my fault for not researching before i bought it, but would BHphoto accept a return in a situation like this?

thanks

eric

You should be fine. Their customer service and return policies are excellent.

You should be just fine, especially since you are switching items. Stuff happens, it's okay. They will be more than happy to help but since it was your wrong doing and not theirs, you'll have to float the bill for shipping the light stand back. But, meh.... just eat it and get the right one to match the others, it'll be fine :)

Ok quick question again, if i recieved an RMA number from them and ship the item back, can i go ahead and order the right item?

How will i get credited for the return? What I wanted to do was return the item, get store credit or something then pay the difference for the right light stand.

But it would be the same if I just bought a new light stand and just waited BH to refund my original purchase right?

I called earlier today, the could not understand the guy for the life of me.

When you return for a refund, do they credit your bank account or give you store credit?
