I really like your 2nd attemt.. The coloring looks much better and the crop is perfect for this photo.. Nice work..

Is the #1 the original out of the camera, or have you already done some editing? You have a nice portrait with potential, If you wish, you can post the original, set your image editing to OK, and learn from what others are doing.

what was the original color of her teeshirt? on the image, it looks like it had been machine-washed with some other red cloth. I wish you remove this cast, but the process will differ depending the original color of the teeshirt.

OL9245, I did run the original through Imagenonic filter. Also used the Spot Healing Brush for the blemishes.

I like the second edit better, the increased contrast and saturation is nice. One thing keeps bothering me, her hands look a little awkward. Maybe it is just me.

The reddish color of the tshirt looks to be its real colors (nothing to deal with WB). you still can handle this by desaturating. suggestion is: add a saturation layer, desaturate 100%, target the tshirt with a blend-if condition on the blue channel, then adjust with a mask.

what bothered me in your first image was the color of the white of th eyes. it was very blue. This could come from a wrong color temp. I guess you were in the shadows. the color temp of the shadow is very hot (blue). If you dont acknowledge this high temp in your settings, you get a blue cast. and because the white of the eyes is already a blueish white (not pure white) the prob becomes visible.

as a side effect of wrong color temp, your colors skins were pale (in fact, with this same blue cast). You have adjusted skin tones with a saturation layer, and this has saturated the blue cast of the eyes as well!

The original file was hard to correct. But with the raw file, I just had to set the color temp to 6000K in camera RAW and I could discard all the color correction layers I had painfully done before.

I will try to finish my editing and I post it later in the day.

just a quick edit to see if I can make it 'pop' a bit more... nice photo!
