Thanks everyone. I was retiring some of my older cf cards and wanted to get larger cards. I shoot raw and it doesn't take long to fill them up.

Me to, Three, one for the XTi, 40D and the 5D. I have had no problems whether transferring from card reader or camera though I must admit, I don’t transfer from camera all that often anymore. It may take a few shots, but then would not save the pic or give an error message. At the shop, we tried several 8gb ProMaster cards, and all did the same thing. I do note however that teh 4GB cards of the same "speed rating" from the same manufacturer perform faster than the 8GB ones. GEAR LIST
