Has anyone had any problems with 8 gig cards? Especially shooting the 30D? Thanks Francis

I shoot an 8GB with a 20D with no problem. Are you having problems with an 8GB card?

Thanks everyone. I was retiring some of my older cf cards and wanted to get larger cards. I shoot raw and it doesn't take long to fill them up.

Wow!!1 Lots of Extreme III. Me to, Three, one for the XTi, 40D and the 5D. I have had no problems whether transferring from card reader or camera though I must admit, I don’t transfer from camera all that often anymore.

I use the Extreme IV 8GB in my 40D and it works a treat.

Best regards,

Anton

I have had problems with ProMaster 8gb cards in my XTI. It may take a few shots, but then would not save the pic or give an error message. At the shop, we tried several 8gb ProMaster cards, and all did the same thing.

The ProMaster 4gb cards were fine.

I just exchanged the ProMaster for a SanDisk, and have been happy as a clam since. I wont use ProMaster again.

No problems with the Ridata and Transcend 8GB cards I have used. I do note however that teh 4GB cards of the same "speed rating" from the same manufacturer perform faster than the 8GB ones.

I also use Ridata and Transcend 8GB cards. Ridata card is 150x and the Transcend is 266x UDMA rated, they work awsome, no issues whatsoever.
