My little girl, Maggie, turned 6 months old last Thursday and despite a double ear infection, my wife and I managed to get some 6 month pictures of her on Sunday. I wish she felt better so I could have got more, but I am still happy with what we were able to get.

Please throw out some C&C as I can definately use it!

Lovely shots and very cute baby. The first one may be a tad dark. Was she on a table or wood floor?

The lighting is very nice and soft for such a small person.
#1 is cropped too tight on the top of her head (for me anyway) but her expression is adorable
#2 My favorite, just look at that chubby little body
She is an adorable little girl, you will enjoy having such a good model.

Thanks all! She is sitting on a table in our kitchen with a large window just to the left of her. I prefer to do natural lighting and waited until late in the morning to get started so the light was just right.

The first one is a really tight crop as I was trying to get a doorframe and other distractions removed from the picture. That was as close as I could get it without taking too much away from the picture.

She is so much fun and I would say that the majority of the pics I took yesterday has her with her tongue sticking out. She is just too funny sometimes!

These are so cute - I love the colors!!
The first one does look a tad dark, maybe brighten it a little in PP. When I did my son's 6 month photos he had his tongue out in all but a few too - lol!

Feel free to click the Flickr link in my signature to see the other shots. They are all within the first three pages. Almost all of them were taken in the same location as she started getting hungry and tired soon afterwards.

For all of these I used the 24-70L on my 40D. I got smart and with the suggestion of others I used a tripod to help get the best shots I could. I generally like to hand hold each one, but due to other circumstances I needed to use the tripod.

Also there wasn't much PP done on these. A slight tone adjustment to darken the darks and brigten the lights and a little highpass filter resulted in these.
