POTN meetup in South Florida

thanks man now i have 2 people offering to let me try lenses why do you guys buy lenses lol...it seems ive read more bad things then good about the sigma tho...is that your preferred wideangle?

I never really try any other, but this one works great for me. the main reason I pick this one up is, if I ever upgrade to a 5D, it will fit on it and the canon 10-22 won't.

that makes sense...i dont see myself upgrading bodies for quite a while tho...any idea how the weather is lookin for friday?

I'm in north west Broward and am in for any meet-up's. Some of the places I was thinking of have surely been mentioned; castle in coral gables, Biscayne bay, Butterfly world, Lion country Safari, south beach, downtown boca area, hard rock, Everglades park in florida City,Oh the list goes on.

I want to go to the meet up at the zoo as well, are kids allowed to come, mine will never forgive me if i go to the zoo without them. Will we all be in the chimping exhibit?

You have many good ideas for locations. Bill Baggs Park (Key Biscayne) is a great area to shoot. I did not know that there was a castle in Coral Gables. Ill have to look that up.

I say bring the kids, its the zoo after all. I may be bringing my mother-in-law with me. She just loves her Canon P&S.

P.S. I have used a wheeled suitcase at Miami Metro Zoo for transporting equipment inside the gate with no problems.

im just gonna bring my backpack...i think some of my family might be coming too but they probably wont get there til later...when i told them i was going at 930 they were like are you nuts?

crap i forgot to bring my battery charger to work. good thing it says its full, but i guess i should stop playing with it now. i should be able to charge it for about an hour at home before i have to head out. hopefully thats enough time to top off the juice. see you all there
