Great pictures tumana and nick. That lens 70-200mm lens of yours is mighty sharp.

Woah! Those pictures are great! I'm officially ashamed of my photos. I'm deleting them off my computer right now.

(just kidding about the delete part... but great photos!)

I might swing by...supposed to be good weather tomorrow.
I have to see what time I get off of work. It's a train ride on the R train so no biggie. Might try to make the 6:30pm semi-final session and call it an evening.

50/50 chance...

Good opportunity to put my MKIII through its paces.

FYI, I'll be bringing my 85 1.8, 24-105L, 70-200 f4IS and 580EX just in case.

I lack a telephoto lens, but it should still be an interesting photo op.

Anybody planning on being around the Union Square Snowboard Rail Jam tomorrow night (Thursday)?

I would've loved to go but work will prevent me. There should be a few more events at Mountain Creek that may be worth photoing.

Hey guys,

I am looking forward to Spring at this point. I'd like to shoot hot air balloons and car races.

Anyone knows photo ops for either or both in the tri-state area?

The weather should be ok despite "a few snow showers" forecasted so I'll be joining you on Sunday it looks like. Looking forward to seeing/ meeting my fellow NY photographers.

How do you view someone's EXIF data for pictures posted on here?

Will this be across from Whole Foods?

If you use FireFox as your browser, there is a handy extension called Opanda IEXIF viewer. Check it out: http://www.opanda.com/en/iexif/download.htm (external link)

LOL. Small world!

I'm not sure exactly what time I will get there b/c of work, but I am definitely going to try to make the 6:30pm semi-finals. I think it runs for 30 minutes. I might try to get some shots of the general atmosphere, fan shots, etc...but I'll be headed home no later than 7:30pm.

I am Asian and will be wearing an olive colored jacket with hood, and a LowePro Slingshot 200 around my shoulder. Like a dumb-arse, I forgot my cell phone at home...oh well.

I have my 70-200 with me, but I have to see what kind of lighting they are going to have over there. I am hoping it's good enough but I brought the 580EX just in case. (Not that I know how I would use it in those conditions.:()

I should be there around the same time. I'm bringing my 100 f/2 and 25-105L. The 24-105 is unfortunately the longest lens I have.

BTW nick, I was spying the EXIF on your photos, and we are from the same hood.

Official website says 17th and Broadway so I am assuming it's on the north side of Union Square. I am going to take the R train there and walk northwest towards the area.

Yep, same here. Firefox + Opanda. Neat little plug-in for sure.

shomat wrote in post #4870815 (external link)
Yup, I'm pretty sure that's the extension I'm using. I just right-click and I can see all of the EXIF data.
