I was quite blown away at some of the costs of stuff, like the wee engines.

Yes, can't imagine spending money like that for a hobby.

All my brothers have RC planes, Curt did too when we were first married. We had a full blown landing strip with windsock out on the farm. It was there flying and wiping the fuel off the plane where I got the term "slurm". It is what they called the residue.

Youngest brother had a helicopter but never could get the hang of it, finally it crashed and burned.

I always assumed you got that from Futurama (external link).

Disney World, right? I've heard they have finger print scanners at the entrance gates to make sure the right person is using the ticket. Maybe Wanda and Crissa can chime in here...

We had to put our credit card looking ticket into the turnstyle machine, then put an index finger on a reader and it would spit our card out the other side.

:) awesome.... i remember having a rocket that you filled with water then pumped up with a kinda bike pump then you hit the button to release the water and whoosh....off it went, with hordes of kids running around underneath it getting soaked :).

I remember those rocets too!! Eli has a little electric heli that we ALL enjoy flying!!

My husband got him a ridiculously expensive controller and we've yet to figure the damn thing out. (It is a couger hotas or something like that)

Hi again. We're back from the vet's office. Twink is fine. :D The lump is a fatty tumor which is harmless. They took out a sample and checked it for baddies and it checked out pure fat. It is not that big so they are leaving it alone. If it gets huge they will want to take it off. We did a blood workup just as a precaution to catch any early kidney or diabetic problems, will know more Monday. And they gave me a sample of glyco something for his joints, which I'm going to try. He gets along well for an old cat, and can even jump on the couch by himself, but I know he has some pain and stiffness.

Good news!

And, I think if you'll recall, that was my diagnosis. Good to know I have a career in Tele-veterinarian medicine if I need it.

For the record: I was completely clothed when I flashed through, hubby has issues with me in any state of undress in public :p

Alan, your heli's look like tons of fun!

Chief: I could not see your photo in the original post, nor in subsequent quotes. I am using firefox, I guess that has something to do with it?

Becky: Wonderful snowscapes! I especially love the red building.

I will be hacking out my end of month report today :( I HATE those things!

That might be its original origin, *thinking of more O words here* older brother opened up the opportunity for occasions to outspread the usage.

Do you recon Disney could have an information sharing agreement with the FBI, CIA and Homeland Security ? (just a thought from a paranoid brit :-) )
