Danger -- MMQ!!
GMAE! TGIF...I was getting a little worn out with work, have another special situation that needed attention, but has been worked out. Now to relax. Wife called me and told me that we are going to the zoo tomorrow...hope to get some great pics there.

Well, guys and gals, hate to post and run, but tomorrow's going to be a long day. Hopefully we'll be in touch tomorrow after it's all over, if not, then Saturday night.
Can't wait to see some shots from the first PermaPuddle wedding gig.

Love it. The button layout is much better than the Rebel. One of my biggest complaints about the Rebel was that I kept changing drive mode inadvertently, but with the way the 40D is laid out, it's difficult to do. AF sensors are a definite improvement, It only really seems to hunt a lot in very low light, but at least it'll lock when the Rebel wouldn't. I've already registered commands to the My Menu settings, I've played with the C1, C2 and C3 settings on the mode dial, which could prove to be extremely convenient, but they have a major flaw: Any settings changed while in these modes revert to the settings you initially set for them the minute the camera goes into "sleep" mode. A bit annoying, so I'm questioning the usefulness of those modes, now.
2 More pics of the boy from yesterday:
I actually used Live View to compose and focus this one, since the camera was sitting on the floor, and it was not possible to look through the viewfinder.
My boy
Good to see you are having some fun. It is an excellent camera...love mine lots.

So, am I the only person on Earth whose favorite season is winter?
Mine is....wish it would snow here...but never does.

I went to the grocery store a little while ago. When I opened the door to head out, apparently Minnie thought we were going for a walk (I thought she was still laying on the bed), and she bolted out and ran again. I called after her a few times in my normal tone, but she wasn't slowing down one bit. When she got to the end of the building, I made it a command and said "Minnie! Come here!" She stopped instantly, turned around and slowly plodded back to me. Yay! We're making progress!

That's great Lonnie. I've made that much progress with Joshua too. Yesterday, I was calling his name and he was ignoring me. I raised my voice with a commanding tone and called his name and he stopped, turned around and looked at me. I called his name again and he kept staring at me...by then I just gave him a look like "you better get you rear over here or you're not gonna like what's comin' to you"....Joshua bolted for the front door at that point
