I'm so terrible about geography. When Kit said Puerto Rico and "tropics" in the same post, I felt confuzzled and had to Google... I always thought PR was east of New York, for some reason. Probably because of Nikki Cruz's book "Run, Baby, Run", that I read in the 70's.

LOL!
Lonnie, to be completely honest, I booked my flight before I knew where it was. I had to google it too, and was shocked to find that it was in the Carribean.
I pretty much sucked at geography too, and I've never been off the continental US before.

And Run Baby Run was a favorite book of mine.

Nothing evil meant here, but I have met very few Americans who knew anything about world geography, let alone US geography outside of the region where they live. I know the ones that have traveled and moved do, but I have met so many that knew nothing. Most of the folks I met in NJ did not have a clue where Calgary was, when I told them Alberta was north of Montana, they still had no idea because they knew little about Western US geography. Now, I am far from an expert on world geography, but I do know where Puerto Rico is. ;)

Heh... I've read that book as well. He wrote quite a few, didn't he? I quit him after a couple of books, he started getting too much for me.

I guess my knowledge of geography comes partly from being a Quartermaster (navigation specialist) in the Navy and partly from being a Navy brat. We moved every two to four years when I was growing up and didn't come to settle in one place (here) until my father retired from the Navy.

With all the resources available on the internet (Google Earth, Google Maps and just Google in general) there is really no excuse for not knowing where a place is.

I'll have to say my geography knowledge comes from reading National Geographic as a kid. I may not be able to pinpoint some places but usually know their general location. That is until the change names. :D

TPBM was taken wide open.

Love the contrast between the white swans and the deep blue sky here Chris. :D

Looks like a fun day. Is that a snowcat or snowdevil? ;-)a

Also what is the red above Eli's head in this one to the left of Eli's head in the third one?
