Yea John retirement isnt such a great paying gig .

It has its advantages, though. We had another rainstorm today and I just turned on the evening news to find out there were over 75 accidents on our freeways during the morning commute.

I can name only some of the state capitols, but at least I know Hawaii is a state (I was born there) and Puerto Rico is a US territory.

And if you think their geography is bad, quiz them in science! I still routinely meet people that think the sun revolves around the earth.

Then there are always the city folk that think ponies are small (i.e. young) horses. But its so funny I forgive them.

I used to know them all, but have since forgotten some. What I meant previously was that people were asked for example, what is the Capitol of Texas Houston or Austin...they would answer Houston.

When I worked conducting background checks for the military, one of the questions I asked was "Has the subject ever traveled out side of the United States to a foreign country for business or pleasure?" On several occasions I got a Yes answer with Hawaii or Puerto Rico being the destination.

Have you noticed who the host of that show is? Jeff Foxworthy... The show has to be an endless source of material for him.

Captain cool is asleep, on the floor of the living room, fully clothed. I think sledding wore him out!

I remember being worn out from sledding. Lots of walking uphill, lots of energy expended trying to keep warm. Plus we had a long walk to and from the park. It sure was fun, though.

We slept in a few hours this morning, so Allie is still going pretty strong. She's watching Ice Princess and building something with Tinker Toys.
