Anyone here ever carry two bodies with lenses attached to shoot? How do you maneuver them?

I REALLY want to shoot, but the weather conspires against me :( I may do some macro stuff inside.

I always envision crossed straps, kinda like a Mexican soldier of old :)

I almost always carry two bodies and sometimes 3...depends on what I am doing...I usually have one strap around my neck and the other camera by the body and handstrap.

I was thinking about getting a hand strap, but then how do you put it down to shoot with another camera?

Yeah I do. I usually have one on each shoulder or one on my neck and one on the shoulder.

I don't put it down...the strap goes over the shoulder...shoot with other camera and then back to the primary.

Usually when I shoot....I have one camera that is going to be the workhorse....and one that fits special needs....so it might be the 24-70 as the primary lens for an urban setting...with the 70-200 on the other body as a special needs setup. The third body might have a macro or a low-light lens on it.

I have the potential to do some performance shooting and would like to have my 17-55 on the 30D and my 70-200 on the 40D so that I don't have to change lenses. Might invest in a monopod as well, we'll see.
