Nothing evil meant here, but I have met very few Americans who knew anything about world geography, let alone US geography outside of the region where they live.

I know US geography very well, but I know very little outside the country.

Heh... I've read that book as well. He wrote quite a few, didn't he? I quit him after a couple of books, he started getting too much for me.

Run Baby Run was the only book of his I ever heard of. He may have written more, but I haven't read them.

There are tons of places here that XM won't play...roads are frequently carved out of the sides of the mountains without regard to maintaining a good southern exposure for the XM satellite to hit the antenna.

Then I was very lucky. I put 70,000 miles on the car while I subscribed to XM, and that one stretch of about five miles that I mentioned was the only place I ever lost the signal, except maybe when going through a tunnel.

I remember the Chief mentioning a while ago that he was getting lousy reception when he had an XM radio installed. He had the dealership move the antenna to a different part of the car, and never had a problem again.

Those are the moments if possible you flop down with them and make a fool of yourself wallowing with them and praising like they just saved Timmy from the well.

Oh, I do that all the time. :D

many actually think that Hawaii and Puerto Rico are foreign countries

My brother loves going to stores and restaurants and asking if they accept Hawaiian money. The answer is almost always no...

Mine is almost 100% reliable around here but I have lost signal in wooded areas especially around what we call mountains here on the east side of the states. Heavy leaf cover makes it go in and out.

Around town and on most of the main roads here....no problem...but there are places the signal just goes away....sometimes places that don't look like it should.

You got great snow Crissa. We are wet with freezing drizzle and hovering at or just below freezing. I am going out about 2:30am to check sites.

We got quite a bit of sleet tonight Zane, tomorrow is suposed to be cold but above freezing, sunday is forecast to be sunny and in the 40's. I'll probably stop into work and check out how we did, I had a kid doing community service coming by on Friday to shovel and called off my plow guy since I hope most will melt before Monday and we can save the $.

 They renamed their casino 'Seven Feathers (external link)'. Apparently Cow Creek Casino wasn't marketable ;)
