I think you need to move to Alaska, Lonnie. ;)

Well, that might be just a little too extreme...

Yes, it worked well. Better than the 70-200, IMO. But I was using the Rebel back then, might make a difference.

What is a 50mm macro? Mr. Lendy will sell me one for 150 if I like it. I didn't know there WAS a 50mm macro.

Very true. I'd love to visit there some day!

I can trade my timeshare for a cruise. ;) I've heard mixed reviews on cruises, though. Lots of people seem to hate them.

Really? I only know a small handful of people who have gone on cruises, but they all loved it.

My mother went on an Alaskan cruise several years ago. I have a friend who went on a driving tour of Alaska a couple years. I think I'd rather do it that way. He hasn't stopped raving about how wonderful that trip was, yet.

My cousin did the driving tour thing and he loved it. He made a nice scrapbook when he got back.

I was looking up the 50mm macro and now I've fallen in love with the 50mm 1.4.

I have the 50mm macro lens. It's the least used lens in my arsenal. It's ok, but definitely not the greatest... If you want to do macro, go for the 100mm.

Agreed. Tho', Terri has the 60 mm Macro ef-s and she loves it. She had it on her "Daisy" for about a year....

My brother and family just got home from a cruise and are over the moon about it. I am quite prone to sea sickness and worry about that.

I forgot about that lens. But, Wanda shoots with a 5D. She can't use EF-S lenses, anyway.
