If you had to choose between getting a brand spanking new macbook pro or mac pro, and the 70-200 2.8 IS
Which would you choose?

I have a 70-200 (the f/4 version), and don't seem to use it much. That focal range just doesn't seem useful for the kind of photography I'm into. That may not really apply to your case, though.
