Had you planned on replacing your carpet or is this a result of the flood?

Sounds like you need to get away to, oh, I don't know, Puerto Rico, maybe? ;-)a

We had been planning on replacing it in the near future, and got pushed into it as a result of the flood, and Cara had an unfortunate and truly horrible episode that I won't go into right now in case any of you are eating, but let's just say that she got really sick, and she couldn't get outside because we had yard guys working out there.

Anywho, the flood, Cara's ickiness, and a larger tax return than we were expecting, all put together = new carpet.
And I've been wanting to paint for years, but couldn't imagine moving all the furniture. Well.... if the furniture has to be moved anyway, I'm painting. ;)
I'm excited about it actually.

We have moved most everything out already, the only things left in the livingroom right now, are my desk, the entertainment center with the TV and VCR, and the couches.

And yes! Puerto Rico in 3 weeks!! I can't WAIT!

Am I the only one who likes the opossum? AFAIK they're the only marsupial in North America. That makes them pretty special. I actually "petted" one at a native wildlife demonstration at a state park in Florida. She was rather tame, so didn't bare her 100-something teeth at me. :D

I don't exactly hate them, but I wouldn't go so far as to say I like them, either. I've petted one or two. They're very common here in Southern California. I used to see them almost daily when I lived in the San Fernando Valley. Since I moved to the desert last year, now it seems the most common wild animal I see is rabbits.

I see plenty of hares (To be exact: jackrabbits) , around here.

A couple weeks ago, my friend's dog was attacked by a couple pit bulls owned by a neighbor. After $8,000 in vet bills to put the dog back together, he's now terrified to go outside. They've resigned themselves to the fact they will probably have to replace their carpet every year or two for the rest of the dog's life.

I think these are probably jackrabbits, too. I just haven't gotten a decent picture of one yet so I can look it up in my books. I need to head out into the middle of the field across the street with my 100-400 lens sometime. I can't get close enough to them to get a picture with anything else.

Fifty-two teeth, actually. It just looks like 100...

I should go back and find some of my other possum pictures. I've got bunches because my ex-wife and I used to do rescue and rehab work... It's just they're all prints and would have to be scanned.

Nope. The cat was a Ragdoll breed, which looks a lot like a Himalayan, only more dense. Very friendly breed. Unfortunately, Diego was a bit, um, challenged, shall we say. He wasn't all there. He died a few years ago.

OK, here's the plan with the TR's in regards to the current series.

I'm going to put together a Blurb book for each Gear Wars episode (Gear Wars, Nikonistas Strike Back and Return of the Bokeh). Each book will have around 80-90 strips in it.

Does that sound like a good idea, or dumb?

Ya know, I'm ready for my life to be back to normal.

No more plumbers, no more phone service guys, no more yard workers, no more fence builders, no more carpet layers, no more NO MORE!

Hmmm....I seem to have heard these very words before (many, many times).

I'm not sure if it's good or dumb, but I'll be buying each one anyway.
