POTN isn't - but there is one for Minions :-D

So, you're saying that your Minion status is in no way connected to the non-Union Shop POTN? Wonder how your employer, the proprietor of this POTN thread, feels about that?

And the Bigma should be on its way home as well.

I am like a contracted Minion,, Minions-R-Us :-D

For example, electricians are in unions, but people that hire electricians don't have to be part of a union.

Cool for you!

So, what's the short story behind the Bigma?

It stopped autofocusing. (It's had very little use). I sent it to Sigma. They said it needed a new motor. They were charing $200 for it.

I questioned them on this. Then they decided to cover it under the warranty.

heee hehehehe I can't wait to see how the bigma works! I still think if it works on the new cameras it's the best value for zoom yet.

That sounds like you got the better end of customer service. Good for you. What size is it?

It's the Bigma 50-500.

As for Customer Service, yes, in the end they did the right thing. But I gave you the abridged version. Try calling Sigma Customer Service. There are days when the line is busy for hours at a time. Bizarre. Once I finally connected with an actual individual, she's been in good contact with me via email.

That sounds somewhat typical. At least your persistence paid off.

I just looked that lens up online. I would love to hear what you think of it once you get it and get some shots off with it.

It's a good lens. It eats light for lunch, but in the right conditions it can take great images.

Here's my best shot ever with it:
