Be glad you weren't here today...we had 70mph wind gusts...took off part of the neighbors roof...tore out one of their skylights...blew everything off my deck...power outages, downed trees and forest fires are the norm today...

Your weather is so weird. Any serious damage to your hacienda?

Huge things blowing around the neighborhood here... Was one of the reasons I spent my afternoon at the fire department... it was my easy access to listening to all the calls all over the county and neighboring counties....

My parents didn't have power for 8 hours today due to high winds. Huge 96 gallon trash cans blowing around like paper on a breezy day! There were several structure fires, and brush fires in addition to the downed trees and power/utility lines... It was a vicious day here today!

yesterday when we were shooting at Ridgefield, we came across these two hawks...we weren't sure if they were fighting or courting but it was so funny...one of them waddling ominously towards the other one and chasing it...and then they'd engage in a mini battle...honestly, I thought I found it funny because I was so tired but when I saw the shots today, I still found it funny.

the one on the ground was being the aggressor...

Speaking of public disclosures...I have a dirty little secret I need to confess.

I discovered recently that I really, really like Amy Winehouse's music.:oops::oops::oops:

Nope. Sorry. Not my style.

I tend to ramble. Feel free to put me on ignore.

I like some of her music. Come to think of it, I really haven't heard anything I don't like. She's such a basket case, though.....

I've really tried to not be influence by my opinions of the artists when judging their music. I learned that lesson a long time ago with Walter Carlos.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

I like the sound and I love the irony. "Daddy says I'm fine." This song was released quite awhile back. Now she's parading around London in her undies. Methinks Daddy is an enabler!

whoa   Did you see Toto anywhere?

Toto blew by sometime in the middle of the night.

No damage to my shack...can't believe the neighbors had so much damage. They had a little wishing well type thing out in the yard...wooden with flower planters....I must weigh a couple hundred pounds...the wind lifted it about 15 feet off the ground and then it fell...smashed into kindling.

She (and Britney and the rest of the tragic mess) really aren't that much different than Elvis, Jim Morrison, etc. They just have the distinction of living under the scourge of this ridiculous paparazzi that is so out of control it's reprehensible. I make no excuses for the doped up starlets, but it's really no wonder they can't make it given the level of scrutiny and constant watch they're under.

I think there should be a 50-foot rule for those savages. If they come within 50ft of a celebrity, instant arrest. It is absolutely amazing that nobody's been killed yet.

I wonder how most people would react to being under the microscope 24/7/365....it has to be hard...
