I use my 85mm in our gym. I shot at manual, f/2.0, at 1/640, 1600 ISO.
Our gym is one of the better lighted gyms...some are horrible.

Check your focus point, because if your focus was on #15 & 23 and #14 was sharp you may have a back focus issue.
