Here she is with my 30D with grip, 24-70, 70-200 F4 and 18-55 Kit

It's a lovely camera, feels so natural and durable. Having 8.5fps on tap is great. Taking it out tomorrow to really give it a work out.

FAO Lightroom users. Does anyone know how to change the lens name, just the 1D MkII is reporting my lenses like:
24.0mm - 70.0mm
Instead of my 30D which reports it as:
EF 24mm-70mm F2.8 L USM.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Blackvault

Blackvault,

Sorry, I can't help you with the lens I.D in Lightroom.

Moving to a 1D body is a big deal....for me at least it was and I moved to the 1DIIn.

Go out and shoot pictures....

Let us all know what you think of this new 1D experience(sorry if I'm wrong but I'm assuming this is your first 1D).

Take care.

Congratulations!

I recently moved up from a 20D to 1D IIn and I couldn't be happier!

Now...

18-55 swapped for 16-35 II
70-200 swapped for the f/2.8 IS version...

And you're all set! 8)

I have the 1D Classic and am saving for the 1DMkII now. I wish canon would do another production run on the MkIIn. :)

A big congrats!!! I've had mine a while now and I love it. Images are different from the 30D. I found that with mine I get the best results by setting the parameters and the color matrix to standard. Then with raw you can change them to whatever you feel that you need. To me they have a more natural look to them in standard. They dont seem as proccessed as the 30D. Of course I have tired eyes lol :)

Hi guys. Really loving the camera although I'm having trouble with the AF not locking. Down to me not used to 45 points lol

Set it for center point only. I can focus on a sparrow inside a Lilac bush with my MkI, every time. :)
